Something New in Heads Up!
| 27 October 98: New Cool Links
There are some great new places to explore on the Cool Links page. One is a
new category I'm calling "Outward Boundish Things to Do" with some incredible
physical adventure out in Mother Nature. Things only an idiot or an Outward Bound
alum would try! Look here.
The other is some new entries at the top of the Eye Candy category. Great pictures
from two last frontiers - Alaska's wilderness and the night sky above. Look here.

| 19 October 98: Some Perspective
Two excellent pieces of writing crossed my desk this week. Find
them in Readings. They are (in my humble
opinion) moving testiments to the power and importance of the people you care about and of
the wilderness. One was routed to me by Juan Roberson and its
entitled "All Good Things." The other is an exerpt from the introduction
written by Barbara Kingsolver to the book, "Off the Beaten Path - Stories of
Place." Read them when you feel the need for some perspective.
Good night, my friends. I wish you The Peace
of Wild Things.

| 9 October 98: New Photos
Here is the first of a couple batches of Jeff Phillips' photos. He sent me about 75
images, so it will take a bit to get them uploaded! But I think you'll agree many are
worth the wait. Look in People, Rocks, Alumni Events, Base Camp, and Individual Archives.
There is also a new entry in Readings on priorities.

| 5 October 98: New Photos
Well, its been a little while since my last update. My company's fiscal
year ended on September 30, so there hasn't been much spare time for me lately!
However, Ed Torri called me the other day, and it was the kick in the pants I needed to
get back at it. So, here without further ado, are the photos Ed sent me a couple
weeks ago. Look in Rocks, Ropes, People and Individual Archives.
Everyone: Check out Heads Up!
