February 28, 1999 - The annual Blue and Gold Banquet is a
time when Cub Scout families get together to celebrate the scouts' achievements for the
year. One of the highlights of the banquet is the Father-Son Cake Bake Contest. This year's theme was space. Needless to say, we had many very outstanding creations. The winners of this year's contest were: First - Mike T. - "Take Me To Your Den Leader" High bid - DJ S. - "Millenium Falcon" Congratulations to the Scouts and their male helpers. For a look at the rules, click here. We also had some fine entertainment from Jack Julius, a mime - magician. Pack 606 would like to thank everyone who made this year's banquet a success, including: The Owens family for cooking up a terrific spaghetti dinner. The Boy Scouts in Troop 424 for preparing and serving this special event. The Laurel American Legion Post for donating the use of their hall. The Blue and Gold Banquet Committee, a group of dedicated volunteers from the ranks of our parents. |
