July 4, 1998 - Laurel Independence Day Celebration: Approximately 2 dozen Cub scouts and leaders from Pack 606 braved the heat to march in the parade down 4th Street as part of the Laurel Independence Day celebration. The theme of this year's celebration was "Count on Me." Pack 606 was in the good company of a number of local churches, scouting organizations, politicians, firefighters and police officers, and community groups during the hour and a half long parade. This was a good opportunity to celebrate our freedom.> |
