More than 100 racers crossed the finish line on Saturday March 11 at Cub Scout Pack 606's annual Pinewood Derby Classic. The Pinewood Derby gives cub scouts and their adult mentors the opportunity to work together to design and build a race car from a 5 ounce block of wood. On race day, double elimination competitons were held to determine first, second, and third place winners by age group, as well as overall winners for the pack. In addition, ribbons were awarded to car designers in a dozen "best of" categories. Every scout that participated in the event received a plaque on which to display their car.
