March 1999 - Scouting For Food: Pack 606 was again able to collect lots of food donations thanks to the generosity of the Hammond community. This year 43 scouts and 30 adults from Pack 606 collected 1,556 pounds of food. Of this total, the Webelos collected 500 pounds, the Bears and Tiger Cubs working together collected 558 pounds from 81 families, and the Wolves collected the remaining 498 pounds. The food goes right back into our community, to Elizabeth House in Laurel. The folks at Elizabeth House tell us this food will help them serve the hungry and homeless in Laurel through the summer.
