SELECTED EVENTS AND GATHERINGS
This is a listing of some of the events we may be participating in this year. Keep in mind that dates are not etched in stone and should be confirmed before making definite plans. The MVIM does not sponsor or coordinate any of these events and we are supplying this list only as a public service. These are some the F+I events that we currently know of, if you know of any events not listed here, please let us know so we can post them for all to see. Please contact the event personnel regarding any specific questions. Links to some of these event sites are on our links page. For more info about a specific event, or to see if we are partipating, E-mail us and come along as one of our unit! Thank you for your interest, and we hope to see you at some of them! NOTE- Info in parentheses indicate the historical period of the event.

1999
MARCH
- 5th-Boston Massacre - Boston MA-This year it's a friday night so there should be plenty of tavern-hopping after the event. Colonists should have clubs, but no muskets!
MAY
- 1-2nd Ft. Western F&I Weekend - Located in Augusta, ME, this original 1750's frontier fort hosts an annual French and Indian War-era encampment including drill, cannon firing, contra dancing and more! Come see the new bateau.
- 15-16th War College of F&I war - Ft. Ticonderoga NY
- 22-23rd The Battle of Culloden-Yes, we will be wearing kilts and waving big swords around, we will be portraying Jacobites for this one. E-mail me for more info!

JUNE
- 26-27th Ft. Ti Grand Encampment of the F&I war - Ft. Ticonderoga, NY
Wicked French and bloodthirsty Indians at Ft. Ti's F+I Weekend
JULY
- 17-18th Fort at No. 4's "Artisan's Weekend" - #4 is looking for skilled interpreters and crafts people to bring the 1740's fortified village to life. Candlelight tour on Saturday night.
- 23-25th Louisbourg-You have to go to this one! Something like 2100 reenactors registered. There were over 1300 in 1995! Start saving for gas money because it is on Cape Breton N.S., but well worth the trip.
OCTOBER
- 23-24th Pound Ridge N.Y. French and Indian War Tactical - Wargame on 4300 acres! There is a 'public' battle planned for both days, and also several capture the flag type tacticals. A great event in it's second year.
