No, this is not the Ritchey that I own. This mountain bike belonged to Polly's husband, Mike. Mike let me take the bike out for a ride. Even tough this bike was way too big for me, I did get a taste for a great new adventure. I knew from this moment on that mountain biking was going to be a major part of my life.

I had no idea where I was going to find a mountain bike, let alone afford one because I was going to school and working part-time. Ironically, three weeks after this picture was taken, a computer customer, Myke, told me he was selling his Ritchey. Myke let me take Ritchey for a test ride over the Fourth of July. So, the mountain bike you see me on in the Bakers Peak pictures, is the Ritchey. I fell in love with the Ritchey and I bought the mountain bike from Myke. Last Feb (97) I bought a new mountain bike, a Gary Fischer, Josuha Z2. I can not bring myself to part with the Ritchey. Hence, that is why I converted the Ritchey to my spinner.

Now, Myke and his wife Morgan have become two great mountain biking friends. You can learn more about Myke and Morgan in my other mountain biking web pages.
