From the 1st to 9th August 1998 36 Cubs from Silver End along with the Scouts and Ventures will attend the Sherwood'98, Nottinghamshire's International Jamboree. The camp will be based at Walesby Forest Scout Campsite, near Newark in North Nottinghamshire.

There will be almost 7000 scouts, guides, cubs and ventures attending the Jamboree. They will be from many countries including - Isle of Man, Ireland, USA and many, many more.

This will be the first time the members of the 1st Silver End Scout Group will be visiting and taking part in a Jamboree.

The Cubs are really looking forward to this camp, as it will be the biggest they have ever attended.
