I Corni di S. Giovanni - Palestra di roccia a LovereSt. John's horns |
Free-climbing at Lovere (BG) - ItalyHy everybody !(and expecially to those having great interest in free climbing). These pages are describing few routes in the free climbing area of the St. John's horns. |
The town of Lovere is located in Lombardy, north Italy, on the shore of Lake Iseo. Besides other attractions, it has the peculiarity to show to visitors, from any way they come from, the presence of rock towers (the "Saint John's horns") on the slope of Monte Cala hill. They are, since the beginning of this century, the destination for lot of people fond of the free-climbing sport.
Thanks to the impassioned work of local mountain-climbers and alpine guides, lots of routes have been designed and prepared on these horns. They are used for training during the free-climbing courses organized by the local seat of CAI, Club Alpino Italiano, each year usually in the april and may period.

Dedication | I
would like to dedicate this simple work to my son, Stefano. He is our (mine and of my wife, GiannaRosa) future, and we do hope he will share with us the great interest for mountains |
