The woods is a sacred place but it is not a sacrosanct one, or one secure from violation or damage. In order to go into the forest and leave it as we find it, many of us must be satisfied with an hour1s walk in familiar surroundings. Only the seasoned, environmentally educated, well- prepared, and well-conditioned hiker, capable of carrying 20% or his or her body weight, can take an extended trip and leave the woods undisturbed. A hike with llamas makes this possible for many who could not before, ie., the elderly, those of us with physical, mental or emotional limitations, families with small children. Llamas are low-impact environmentally and can carry all the supplies and equipment necessary for an extended hike of four hours or four days.

East Fork Llamas is an organ ization dedicated to the preservation of the woods and to the use and enjoyment of its growing and healing potential by every one, regardless of special needs. We have the experience in Adventure Based Counseling and Animal Assisted Therapy (ABCAAT) necessary to facilitate programming for a wide range of clients, whether for treatment, personal growth, recreation, or just plain fun.

We provide generous discounts to non- profit agencies.

All services available at your site or at beautiful East Fork Llama Farm, where you can camp safely and comfortably at our mountaintop base camp, surrounded by 60 acres of private land. Equipment is provided .
