EAST FORK LLAMAS TRAINING PACKAGES

>

Pictured is one of our 4-H children (Sara McDonough) leading Tainos over a jump at a llama show where she won second place in the class. Tainos is a trained packer and we have also trained him in obstacle courses.

At East Fork Llamas, we use an eclectic method of training. We begin with the least restrictive method we know, and add more assertive techniques if necessitated by the personality of the animal or time constraints. We use methods learned from workshops taught by John Mallon and Marty McGee, as well as our own derivations and methods we have practiced for years in training horses and llamas. Safety is always our number one concern.
