For Eagle Rank, the Scoutmaster conference can be expected to cover skills review and a wide range of questions that probe the young man's readiness for recognition as an Eagle. Unlike any other rank, the Eagle requires more than simply checking off requirements in the Scout Handbook. The rank of First Class, Star and Life are held until age 18, at which time the scout rank is left behind as a young man passes into adulthood. The rank of Eagle on the otherhand is one that is held for life - there is no end to the Eagle trail.
