Scoutmaster Conference

Typical Skill Review:

Any skill from Tenderfoot, Second Class or First Class is fair territory
Knots: Tautline Hitch, two half hitches, bowline, clove hitch, lashings
Recite and explain at least two of the principles of Leave No Trace.
Describe how you practices LNT and what you has taught others about caring for the outdoors.
First Aid: Severe bleeding, 1st-3rd degree burns, Shock, CPR, Heimlich maneuver, bandages, etc.
Map & Compass: Orient a map, map reading, determining direction without a compass.

What is your current (most recent) leadership position within the Troop? How long have you held that position?
What particular challenges does it present? What is Leadership?
What is the most ambitious pioneering project with which you have assisted? Where?
What has been your worst camping experience in Scouting?
Describe how you have taught others to care for the outdoors using the 7 principles of Leave No Trace.
How do you choose between a school activity, a Scout activity, and a family activity?
What are your hobbies?
Have any of the merit badges you have earned lead to hobbies or possible careers?
Of the merit badges you have earned, which one do you think will be of greatest value to you as an adult?
