Caves are a natural resource that West Virginia and Virginia are abundant in. Some of the caves are very beautiful, and on the other hand some are not. All caves should be treated with respect because there is a very delicate environment within each cave system that is sensitive to changes. Remember, the motto of a good caver is to leave the cave exactly as you found it! We take only pictures and leave only footprints, and as few of those as possible! Also remember that all cave entrances are owned by someone, and that entering a cave without permission is trespassing! Never cave alone. Always cave with an experienced caver who knows the cave."
