Its fun and the fun begins.
Second day is perhaps the most exciting and the most colorful day of the Jamboree. It is the day when all Scouts readied themselves for what surprises the Jamboree is going to offer.
Yesterday, the air was filled with excitement. As early as 4:00 am, the whole camp was already awake. Joggers and walkers roamed the main road, singing and chanting various songs and yell that officially started the whole-day celebration. Various camps conducted color-coded activities and others conducted their own affairs.
The program committee, headed by its chairman, Romeo M. Brown said they have readied colorful and exciting activities for the Scouting to enjoy.
" We have prepared something that our Scouts would surely remember as they go back to their respective provinces. In addition, we'll make it sure that they will have their hands full of excitement everyday.
The night before, Scouts were treated to colorful cultural presentations by various Councils. However, the presence of Senate Majority Leader Francisco "Kit" Tatad made the event even more colorful.
The Senator in his inspirational speech emphasized the role of the youth in attaining the country's independence: Ang rebolusyon ng kabataan ngayon."
He said the revolution before is a revolt against foreign invaders while the revolution today is a fight against the country's ills like poverty and illiteracy.
The busiest part of the camp was the grand arena were various games for kids were conducted.
Scout Bobby Pabilonia from the Manila Council said in an interview that he would always remember this Jamboree as the most exciting and the biggest camping he ever attended.
