I opted to be with my fellow Scouters, the mentors of our heroes of tomorrow, instead of spending the last few days of my stay at home.
I enjoyed the innocence of " Club Scouting " and learning not only the skills and crafts but also the development upon moving up to " Boy Scouting." The series of trainings led me to the help of the Scouting Movement of the Mayon Council until I left for Canada in 1977.
I am now affiliated with the Scouts Canada as a Scoutmaster. Through the organization, programs, activities are the same so is my resolve: to stay with the Movement for a long time.
As I live my homeland for my adopted country, the memories of the 11th National Jamboree shall linger forever and will rekindle the spirit for my fellow Scouts are doing the same; the only difference is I am half ay across the globe.
The gratitude to the Mayon Council for inviting and accomodating me in their contingent staff and made the Philippine Scouting memory alive.
How can I thank you for this priceless moment ? I will do it for the boys.
