Come on Over
to
Vancouver Island
Vancouver Island is our chosen
home and our favourite vacation spot. We would like to tell you and show
you why we think that we have landed in paradise. If you are looking for
world class cities, sophistication and a cosmopolitan flavour, go find
another web site. If you are interested in great beaches, old growth forest,
snow covered mountains, glaciers, and deep mysterious caves, stick around.
We have it all.
It's My Home Page!
I have had people suggest that
I am such an enthusiast about the beauties of our "Super Natural" province,
that I should be on staff with the Ministry of Tourism but so far they
have not approached me with an offer. That means that I do not feel at
all obligated to give a balanced picture of the outdoor recreational opportunities
on our island. Oh, I will try to mention a little bit about the fishing,
the golfing, the mountain climbing, and the caving, but I do not do those
things myself. What I like to do is hike. I am also expanding my horizons
by learning how to get about in a kayak. Those will be the activities which
will claim most of the space at this site.
I live in the Comox Valley
and we usually go north rather than south when we vacation so again you
will find I have more to say about those sights that are close to home
or on the north island. I am an enthusiastic photographer....I said enthusiastic
not good. I take a lot of pictures and you will generally find them near
the end of my pages. My theory is that they are going to load while you
are reading.
So take a look around and if
you love the outdoors and are looking for adventure and a chance to see
one of the most beautiful little corners of the world, come on over.
Did it Work?
If it did, you are now looking
at a picture of my daughter, Susan, at Bonilla Point on the West Coast
Trail.
