Steamed Salmon

 

6 salmon steaks about 6 oz each
1/2 white onion sliced thinly & separated into rings
6 fresh sorrel leaves or 6 fresh dill sprigs
6 fresh parsley sprigs
juice of lemon
salt & pepper

Pour 2 inches of water into pan of steamer, place over medium heat & bring to boil

Arrange salmon on dish

Top with onion rings sorrel & parsley sprigs

sprinkle lemon juice, salt & pepper

Cover steam and cook until opaque about 8 minutes

Remove from steamer & discard onion & herbs.

Remove skin from steaks

To serve arrange salmon on plates and spoon over some of the sauce

serve immediately.
