Subject: Yakima River Smallmouth Bass
Presidents Day was such a nice day here in West Richland Washington that I decided to try my luck (waste some time) on the Yakima River for some bass.

The river was in perfect shape for fishing.  In a short order I caught two Squaw Fish.  The Squaw Fish were real active and each gave one good reel squeeling run.

No bass were caught.  Now February bass fishing on the Lower Yakima River is not always a waste of time.  I do remember picking up some real hogs in late February before spring runoff on years with early springs.  This year is looking like a early spring year so I'll keep trying.

Good Fishing All

Mark
