Kendall and his family fished the Tucannon Lakes on the March 1st
opener. The weather was nice, the camping was nice, and the fishing was fun. Kendall said he had a touch of the bad luck on Sunday as he watched fish being caught on both sides of him. Fisherman were out in droves, but everyone caught some fish; the folks, the kids, and the wife. Some of the local fisherman even let Kendall's kids reel in some fish since Kendall wasn't able to get the job done. Kendall reports the red and white daredevil spoons and spinners were best. Fish were also being caught with power bait suspended above the bottom. The Tucannon Lakes are a series of manmade impoundments nestled in the beautiful foot hill of the blue mountains in eastern Washington. The lakes are stocked with hatchery trout with some larger brood trout added. Camping is available near the lakes. |
