My wife and I LOVE fishing and camping. Our favorite place in Lake Cachuma in the Santa Ynez Valley above Santa Barbara. For me it's the quiet and mountains, for my wife it's just minutes from the Chumash Indian Casino. When we go camping it is usually the whole family, mom, dad, sister, cousins, aunt, and related boyfriends and girlfriends. We usually have to get 2 sites since we have about 10-15 people with us, and boy do we have a good time. Of course we like the modern ammenities so we bring the motorhome, the tents, the Playstation, the Nintendo, yes I said Playstation and Nintendo. Usually while one groupds out fishing the other is playing video games or mad libs. Mad libs can get really fun with our group, especially when they ask for a body part.
Fishing is my number 3 hobby, right below computers, which is second only to my favorite and most expensive hobby, RC Car racing. My RC site at MotorCity/Speedway/8186 has all kind of info on the sport and hobby. When I started fishing regularly with my dad, like all my other hobbies I had to have all the best stuff. I bought new rods and reels and spent $200 each on my 2 favorite setups. I have 2 AllStar Graphite rods fitted with Shimano Calcuta 200 reels. I also have a couple of Black Max setups and some ultra lite gear. I like to worm fish, but when the conditions are right I will throw out one of many crankbaits I have colected during my fishing craze. It's May as I write this and usually we would be out fishing but the weather here in So.Cal. has been so wierd that we have had rain every few days for the past few months. Hopefully it will let up soon and we'll get a mild summer to fish in.
I have fished at most of the major lakes here in So.Cal. even fished the Mississippi River when I was back in Minnisota with my wife for a family reunion on here side. When I got home I found my lines covered in brown gook from the river and have decided to stay of the Miss. in the future. I would like to fish some of the Tennesse Lakes and hope to do that some day, but for now I will continue to chase those record 20 pounders out here. Of course 5 pounds is my biggest so far. I have a ways to go on catching those big ones.
I guess that's enough about me for now. If you want to see more of me and the family check out the pictures on this site or visit the family sections of my wife's site or you can visit one of my
mom's other
sites or even
my dad's site.
We are a cyber family for sure.
Email me if you have any questions.
