Well, hey...it only took me two months to get the pictures sorted, selected, scanned, and on the page! Brought in 2 panoramic pictures this year. They might look very different depending on your viewing area on your individual computer. Remember, this site best viewed with 800x600 pixels.
Here's the first panoramic shot. A great shot of a loon in the fog. Both panoramic pictures were taken by my wife.
The first campsite. Lots of mosquitos at all times. Good room and not a bad site.
Hopefully, you can see the reflection on the water that the picture shows. This was also the first campsite.
I always wanted to take a picture from the hammock. This was my view looking up.
One of our loyal group members out catching, or was it attempting to catch, fish!
One highlight of the trip was seeing eagles continuously. Unfortunately, this was about the best picture, due to inexperience with a new camera and the worst possible film speed for this type of shot.
This was our 2nd campsite (the only other site). This site had tons of room and a good breeze. Mosquitos were only bad at dawn and dusk. I wouldn't mind going back to this site. A nice gradual slope of rock good for wading or swimming was off to the left.
Looking off to the east in the late afternoon. The picture shows a great reflection of the trees and clouds in the water with good detail of the rock in the foreground. Not sure this image does it justice.
We had fog almost every morning. I was able to catch this shot of the fog along with our morning campfire.
One of the last evenings in the BWCA this year. Make sure you see the coffee pot silouetted against the sunset.
This sunset was taken directly over the swimming area. Something jumped in the water right before the shot. Don't know if it was a fish, turtle, or someone behind me being cute...
This was one rapids we decided not to run. I waded out and down most of it before taking the portage. Lots of little canoe-killers and current. Was a fun walk, though!
One of the best ever loon shots. We were able to get so close to this guy...This picture is hardly cropped and is not enlarged. Guess he likes being the center of attention.
The other panoramic shot. This "little" family of ducks was at a site when we stopped for lunch between the two campsites. Debated on this picture or another panoramic of them all in a row. Not sure I could have gotten that one on the page! |
