Both of these deer were taken with 7mm Mausers' both at a distance of 50 yards. Neither deer moved from the spot where they were shot.
This picture and the one below were both of a rub made by an 11 point whitetail, who says big bucks don't make small rubs..
These 2 pics are of my doe that I took during achery season, this deer definately gave me the run around as far as losing the blood trail and doing everything that wounded deer are not supposed to do, The only way I found this deer was (notice my truck in the background) it ran across a road and almost got hit by a truck, I heard the trucks brakes and took a chance that it ran across the road, and sure enough in the middle of the road there was blood. Total distance it ran from where I shot it at to where it died was approx. 250 yards, through a swamp. the top pic is of my best friend and hunting pal, Rob with my 2 year old son William. The bottom one is of me and my 2 yr.old. He really enjoyed watching Robbie cut the deer.
This is the entrance wound of my achery deer, hit it just behind the last rib and it angled into the lungs, breaking six ribs on the left hand side of the deer, it was a little bit more than a quartering away shot than I wanted but was the only shot available, six inches in either direction and it would've been a complete miss.
this is Rob with a doe shot with a 7mm rem mag. (notice the size of the exit wound)
