I had been sitting in my treestand for about 2 hours. I rattled some antlers and grunted in a series but nothing happened. It was about dark so I lowered my bow to the ground and started down from my treestand. I looked off about 200 yards and 7 deer with one HUGE buck were running towards me. I went back up the tree and pulled on the rope my bow was attcached to. Nothing Happened. I had unhooked the bow from the rope. I quickly scurried down the tree and grabbed my bow and waited. A deer stepped out in front of me at a distance of 3 yards. I pulled the bow back and let the arrow fly. It pierced both lungs. The deer did not make it 50 yards. There was no Blood trail at all.
