HISTORY

Cole Snass Lamatai was chartered in 1994 in Salem, Oregon. Cascade Area Council ran the Boy Scout part of the orginization, while Cole Snass Lamatai ran the OA part. Cole Snass Lamatai's Lodge totem was the Balck Bear. In 1994 Cascade Area Council and Columbia Pacific Council merged to form Cascade Pacific Council. At the same time Skyloo, from Columbia Pacifc, and Cole Snass Lamatai merged to form Wauna La-Mon'tay Lodge 442.

Wauna La-Mon'tay now serves scouts of Portland and Salem, Oregon, along with scouts from South-Western Washington. The headquarters for Wauna La-Mon'tay is located in Portland.
