Hi, Jim. I live in Louisville and catch stripes and hybrids below the dam and hydro on the Ohio here. The same area has super sauger and white bass fishing as well, not to mention good catfishing. Most of my family lives just west of Paducah and I cut my teeth fishing Kentucky and Barkley. I'm wondering where you live and which tailwaters you fish mostly. Drop me line sometime, I'd love to swap tips.

Great page,Jim. I thought I was the only one who really enjoyed catching baitfish .I find my time on the water with the rods out to be some of the most enjoyable times to be had.I am interested in sharing ideas on all aspects of the sport(boat rigging, bai tanks, keeping bait healthy, tackle, anything). Something that we may look at as obvious or easy may be a problem-solver for some one else, be they a newcomer or old hand. Thank You, Keith

Your web site is really great. I can tell from your writing that you not only love to fish, but you also have a great deal of respect for the entire outdoor experience and all that mother nature has to offer. Although I have caught many stripers in the hesapeake Bay, I now spend most of my time going after freshwater/landlocked stripers on Lake Anna here in Virginia. I am a very experienced fisherman, having fished all of my life. I am also a student of the art and try to find out all I can about the uary that I am going after. I have also taught fishing seminars. I do have a current quest, and that is to find out all I can about landlocked striper fishing. I have only been fishing Lake Anna stripers for 2 years, and although I have had good success, I know that I could be doing even better. I cannot find a s urce or book anywhere that concentrates specifically on freshwater/landlocked stripers. I can find lots of magazine articles, but they are very general. I want to know all I can about the seasonal migrations of stripers in lakes, feeding habits at different times of year in relation to what the threadfin, gizzard shad and blueback herring are doing. I try to imitate this forage with artificials. My problem is not imitating the shad and herring, it's knowing exactly where they will be and what they are doing throughout the year. Thanks for listening. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for me. Also, let me know if I can ever be of help to you.
