• It's a difficult choice for Horse of the Year. Skip Away was surely amazing in the Classic with Ole Mike up in the irons. There's a 2 year old named Favorite Trick with some credentials Poised to make it a run. His Juvi win made it eight straight victories in as many races. A lot of races for a colt.


    • Skippy excercising getting ready for the Classic. On Nov 8th it looked like Mike Smith made his move too early, but ran away from Deputy Commander in the last furlong. Skippy looked strong in his 1:59 finish in the mile and a quarter. He bested Cigar's 1995 effort by a quarter of a second.


    Favorite Trick rounds the final turn in his bid for Horse of The Year Honors!

    Countess Diana opened the Juvi Fillies race strongly with an impressive win. Byrne had two Juvi wins in the Cup.
