ARKANSAS REVISITS 2002

REV BUCK AND MATT AGAIN, THEY LOVE NEW BRUNSWICK BEARS

Well Taz and Matt got great results again eh,
Bill and Matt arrived just in time this past spring to celebrate Ray aka Hawkeye's 50th birthday. The meal was had at the local Womens Institute in Lower Jemseg and a grand time was had by all, Bill and Matt met some old friends from thier first trip last year and made some new ones,

The two bears were both females of around 2 to 2 1/2 years in age and weighed in the 200 to 250 lb range, these Arkansas lads are good.

Here is the Rev Buck using my API alum 100 locon, the bait station was but 15 yards from the tree, a nice shot for the bow indeed.

This was the bait barrel to the right of the coop in the back field on the farm. A large male had been dropping by but only after dark, he left about a 5 1/2 inch pad impression in the mud area. We abandoned this site and headed to another area that was a little more accommodating pertaining to bears coming in early to feed.

Here is a picture of Bill and his children, last spring in 2003 Ray and Cindy at Young's family farm present Bill with three of thier T-Shirts, complete with the Strawberry Logo, Young's Family Farm, Jemseg, N.B. Liz is the only member of the family we haven't met as yet but she may be coming for the 2004 hunt.
