Hiking Guide
Grays Peak
|
Through these pages we hope to take you to the high country of Colorado. We will present scenes of mountains we have hiked that are over 14,000 feet in elevation and will provide a simple guide on how you can hike them, too! Learning HTML was a father-son learning experience for us both - so if things don't work properly, please bear with us.We live in Boulder, Colorado, right against the front range of the Rockies. The nearest 14er to us is Longs Peak, though we haven't managed to get to the summit yet. This is what it looks like in Boulder right about now. If you're interested in finding out more about Boulder, this is a good place to start. For that matter, so is this. And Away We Go...Depending on how you count them , there are 50-some mountains in Colorado over 14,000 ft. in elevation. So far, we have hiked 20. We have managed just over three per year for the past six years (though the five we bagged in 1997 and again in 1998 brought the average up quite a bit), the first one when Klaus was nine years old.For the climbing guides, just click on a mountain name to the left. Each entry includes information and pictures for that mountain we've summited. Enjoy your trip! Let us know if you like these pages! |
