Shovelnose Shark

This big fella was caught at Beaver Rock, Maryborough, Queensland, Australia in March 1992. Tackle used: 10.0 kilo maxima fishing line, 6500 baitrunner reel, GB1800 uglystick, 4/0 longshank hook with a ball sinker. Took about hour and half to get up. These fish belong to the Stingray family as they bury themselves in the mud/sand. This one was about 6ft long, and too heavy to hold up for the photo. Nice eating!
