Our farm for 20 years, 12 miles from Grand Forks up the North Fork Valley. We sold it four years ago and still kind of miss it. Sure was great hunting territory!

Winter scene on the farm. We have a generally pretty pleasant winter, with a typical low for the year at about -5 degrees F and snow on the ground from mid November to the end of February, and very little wind! The mountain in the background is an important wintering area for mule deer.

This is where we moved when we sold the farm. It's much handier to town but now, because we're on only 3 1/2 acres, it feels crowded. Still have lots of wildlife, though, including deer, bears, bighorn sheep (up the hill in back), the odd cougar, and various small mammals and birds.
