Longhunter's Hunting Pic's!

Well here I am in the 20th. Century! This should answer the question.........Does Longhunter Hunt?

This page loads slow!!! Please be patient!

I love hunting the Wild Turkey. It is a very majestic animal. It also is a very wary adversary! There is a very good population of turkey where I live, and also LOTS of hunting pressure makeing the birds very call shy. Well lets show the pics!!

My first Turkey! 10 1/2 inch beard 5/8 inch spurs. A nice 2 year old bird! Came in to a Penns Woods Simple Striker box call!

A nice Jake I called in for a friend. It was his very first Turkey hunt. This bird had a nice little 5 inch beard and was fooled by some very very aggresive cutting on a mouth call and a decoy!!

I am also an avid Deer Hunter.I am also fortunate to live in an area with a good deer herd.I have taken deer with high powered rifle, pistol, and bow, and muzzleloader. Due to a shoulder injury the 2002 season will be my first year to attemt to harvest a deer with a cross bow. Here are some pics. Please excuse the quality.

My first buck taken in 1991

1992 nice buck in rut 28inch neck! I had to mount this one!!

I loved this spot 1993 nice 11 point 3rd buck that went through that day. Brother in law killed a 6 point there after I shot this one.

Well 1994 had me finding a new spot as brother in law decided he liked mine and he works the farm we hunt. No problem!! Took a nice little 6 point in 94 and a nice little 7 point in 95. No pics though.

1996 brought me my first bow kill. I nice full rut 11 point. Field dressed 198 pounds and sports a 30 inch neck. We don't see many large racks here cause of large deer kill but boy do the bodys get nice!

The years from 1997-2000 broght two more 8 point bucks. 2001 brought me my first muzzleloader buck. Just a scrubby deformed 5 point but a buck just the same.

Of course there were several does also taken in the time from when I first started deer hunting in 1976 till now.

Here is a pic of Donald(BUCK)Nelson senior. Family tell me he is where I get my hunting ways. Uncles say Dad was always out hunting everyone else. This Buck hung on grandma's wall for me to admire my whole childhood.

I have to thank my shooting ability to my step father John Lacich. He took me under his wing at age 4 and nurtured me taking me to the range almost every weekend. He also brought me up desiring the woods and the longing to hunt.
