Welcome. This is the "storyline" or sort of outline of the book. It is currently 19 pages long.
-Red text is author's notes, and will not actually be written in in the novel. The red text is just there so that this rather vague outline is better understood by the reader. Unfortunately, whenever I copy and paste the storyline into my webpage builder, it loses all the text attributes such as colour and bold, so this little extra will not be viewable for you guys. Sorry. Anyway, I'm sure it will be pretty obvious which parts are part of the story and which text is an explanation. Explanatory text usually starts the sentecne with "Of course" or "In reality" or "Actually" or "Really" Thanks, and email me or ICQ message me all your comments.

"The Kingdom of Mammon" Storyline: (Mammon is the Demon of Greed)
-Prophet is travelling through ice age ridden Terra, from Terra trestle.
-Encounters a wolf along the way and slices it up good with his scythe.
-Setting description: icy, snowy, cold etc. Description of the area WEST of current day Jerusalem, called the actual name of Yerushalayim.
-He arrives at Melatiah, village of the Terrans (several hundred residents) and goes to door.
-Meets hunchback doorman, Quasinado, who leads Prophet to Archelaus, Melatiah Elder.
-Archelaus is pleased to see Prophet, who visited six years ago to tell Archelaus to start training a new born baby to be a disciplined and merciless assassin and bodyguard.
-He tells Archelaus that the boy will need to kill the Queen and rescue the One chosen to lead the people of Mammon to Zion.
-He gives the Elder the two Damascus blades that are the weapons of the assassin, that Aegis will use. (Short blades, intricately detailed sheathes)
-Archelaus asks why Mammonians live above the clouds while the Terrans are left to suffer on the ground in an ice age? Prophet tells him that soon it will be over, not to think about those questions, but to train Aegis hard, so that he may succeed.
-Prophet leaves, saying he will return in twelve years, when Aegis is 18, to take him to Mammon and rescue the chosen one, but he is not leaving entirely: Archelaus will train Aegis physically, but the Prophet will continue to speak to Aegis in his dreams, and teach him to use magic, his most powerful weapon. Archelaus gives the boy his new name, "Aegis" (Protector of God) "Sicarii" (Assassin)
-Aegis comes to Elder and tells him that he just had a strange dream.
-Aegis' dream is of a small barn-like place on Terra, and there is a man who is very worried and helping a woman, and then the woman gives birth to a child. The man is very pleased and so is his wife. Aegis hears the woman say that the baby's name will be Janus. Aegis does not know that this is actually Melchior, the Magus of Mammon, and a son of the Queen, along with his wife Mary. They had to hide and give birth to the baby on Terra because the Queen had a vision that someone close to her would give birth to one that would end her reign of evil. This part parallels Joseph, Jesus, Mary, and the birth of Christ.
-Belthasar knew of the baby, but the knowledge was kept from Gaspar, whom the other two brothers did not trust. Luckily for Melchior and Mary, the Queen spent no time seeing much of Melchior, and especially not his wife Mary, so in her greed and zeal she did not even notice that Mary was pregnant, and so the child named Janus was well hidden.
-Archelaus comforts Aegis, telling him that it is the One whom he must protect, who's being born at this instant, and that he must go to the floating land in twelve years when the Prophet returns and Aegis' training is complete, to protect the One from the Queen.
-Aegis seems to be thinking, and then he asks Archelaus how come he has no parents? How come other children run to their mommies and daddies when they have problems, but he must come to Archelaus? What happened to his parents?
-Archelaus sits him down and tells him that right after he was born, soldiers came from Mammon to attack, and his parents died bravely fighting the evil Mammonians.
-Aegis then and there, at only the age of 6, vows revenge and swears that he will continue his quest to bring down Mammon as long as there is life in his body. This whole thing is actually just a big lie to make Aegis hate the Mammonians a lot and not question authority, and his family was actually just forced to give him up when he was a baby for the greater good of the Melatiahns.
-Archelaus gives Aegis his new name and his Damascus blades, Aegis takes to the blades very naturally and becomes quite skilled.
-Aegis hears words in his sleep, the voice of the Prophet, teaching him magic. "Master your potential, use your mind." As well as other messages like this that help to develop Aegis' powers of the next 12 years.
-The prologue is now over. Story flashes to twelve years later, when Aegis is 18 years old. (Janus 12)
-Aegis has another dream of Mammon, of a beautiful woman sleeping (Queen of Mammon), and having terrible nightmares, which is actually a shadow (her husband Herod) tormenting her, telling her this is the end. "He is coming for you, and he will end your reign, forever, and take the people where they can be free." says Herod. Queen screams and his dream is over.
-Story flashes to Queen's palace in Mammon. Queen wakes and she is confronted by Manáen, her loyal assistant (it's a guy). Manáen is later killed by Aegis in an honourable fight to the death, during the climax of the story.
-Queen asks Manáen why he is here. He says that he caught this man lurking around the palace with a knife concealed. The Queen asks him what the hell he thought he was doing there, and the man says "nothing at all, just taking a look at the palace."
-The Queen asks him his name, and he says his name is Melech. The Queen recognises this man as a member of the Council. The Queen tells Manáen to find this man's family, and lock them all in the Nightmare Gaol. Melech cries "No, not my family," but the Queen tells Manáen to kill this man.
-Manáen drags the man off to kill him, and then the man yells that she was right, he was here to kill her, and that she deserves it, and that the Council no longer approves of her ways, and wants her dead.
- "Quiet KNAVE!" yells Manáen, and he takes the man out of the Queen's chamber, and kills Melech with his sword. But, he also says "I'm sorry" very quietly as the man falls to the floor. "I have no choice."
-Now that it is 12 years later, the Prophet returns, but this time he is attacked along the way by Mammonian soldiers, and he kills them all in some cool way using magic and his scythe.
-Story flashes back to Melatiah. Aegis wakes up, and begins his training. He gets a pot of water, and lets it start to heat up to boiling. Then he sits and meditates as the water heats up. He does some cool bushido moves or something, breathing deeply. Then the water begins to boil, and Aegis walks up and slowly puts his hand in it, until his entire hand is submerged.
-Aegis is interupted by Quasimado, the doorman, who tells him that Archelaus has summoned Aegis. The Prophet is here to see him.
-Aegis meets the Prophet for basically the first time. Prophet is very impressed with Aegis' physique "But how strong is your mind?" he asks. Aegis is sure he can withstand any amount of pain, that is what he was trained to do, and he says the Prophet has trained his mind well in the ways of magic in his sleep.
-Prophet takes him and they leave for the Terra Trestle. Prophet explains what it is (bridge to Mammon) and that is a few days travel away.
-They keep walking and Aegis confides to the Prophet that he is not like the other children, that he was murderous, even as a child, and that one time when he and three others were out hunting, they got into an argument and he killed them all. "Why am I like this?" he asks, "Why am I not like the other children? Why did it have to be me that was chosen to be a killer?"
-THE MURDER STORY: They found a wolf, and the other kids wanted to kill it, but it jumped at Aegis, and he by instinct fried it with his fire magic. The other kids were jealous etc. and they made fun of him, called him a freak and so on, so he murdered them all with his blades. He blamed the deaths of the other children on the wolf, saying that it killed them and carried their bodies away, but really he buried them.
-Prophet explains that Aegis is very special, that he was chosen by God to be the great protector, and that he must honour his duty, and that the only way he will have peace is if he fulfils his destiny.
-He says that the Prophet taught him to use magic well, and that he is capable of fire and so on. Unfortunately, as the magic was taught in his sleep, it is almost entirely a reflex, by instinct. Aegis has little control over it at this point.
-Prophet explains wisely that it can be used for much more than that, such as levitation and so on, so that they can both perform awesome moves like in the Matrix, running up walls and so on, and combined with Aegis' assassin training, he is an incredible weapon against Mammon.
-Aegis wants an opportunity to test these new abilities. He can actually move so quickly that others can hardly see him, like a shadow or ghost, says the Prophet. Now Aegis REALLY wants to try it out.
-Prophet is going to train him, but soldiers of Mammon come to attack them. The Queen is retaliating because the Prophet (Herod) came to her in that dream and scared her, so she wants to finish the resistance off immediately. The soldiers are travelling in some sort of all terrain vehicle that plows through the snow no problem.
-There is a fantastic battle where the Prophet with his scythe and Aegis using his Damascus blades attack the ten soldiers from Mammon, using their magic too, and massacre them badly. After this they steal the vehicle and use it to get to Terra trestle.
-Prophet tells Aegis that tense situations bring out his intense magical powers, as he moved like a demon possessed in the battle, killing most of the soldiers. But Aegis must learn to master these powers for when he needs them most, which is later, and not just use them instinctively.
-Aegis asks where all their magical powers come from. Prophet explains that it comes from the power of your sub-conscious mind, all your mental powers. He says that each person is born with a certain amount of mental energy, and the people with more naturally make better magic users and warriors. Of course it can be transferred between people, and that is the "problem" presented by the Psi-Evokers and Nightmare Gaol, and Herod's Tomb.
-As they are walking along, they see a big clouds up ahead. Aegis thinks it is more attackers, and asks the Prophet, but he tells him that he will see soon enough. Then Aegis looks up, and he sees that even the faint light of the sun is no longer visible. Aegis asks what abomination would block out the sun, and the Prophet says that they are now under Mammon. Aegis says, "so what is that cloud up ahead?" They advance and Aegis finds out.
-It is a huge waterfall falling from the sky, and there is another one off in the distance, and they fall into an ice cold sea, which is actually the Dead Sea by current day Jerusalem. Yerushalayim. Dead Sea=Al-Bahr Mayyit. (HEBREW???)
-Aegis asks where it is coming from, and Prophet explains that they are now under the main continent of Mammon, and that soon they will be under the Eastern one, where the Terra trestle is. He says that there is water in Mammon, too, so that the people can have drinking water and cleaning water and so on.
-Aegis asks how they get water up there, and Prophet says that the one named Belthasar, the Magus of Wisdom, who lives in Mammon, created the system. It draws Hydrogen and Oxygen atoms out of the air and is powerful enough to fuse them together along with other moisture in the air to make water.
-Aegis asks where they get the energy to fuse atoms, and make Mammon float and all that stuff, and Prophet says that Aegis will soon discover, and that that is the reason Aegis is being sent to Mammon. It is his destiny.
-Aegis just accepts this waterfall thing, and the stuff about fulfilling his destiny and that he'll find out soon enough. He knows enough that the Prophet has made up his mind not to tell him yet. Aegis is learning fast.
-They can now see the Terra Trestle very near, and the Dead Sea as well. They are now quite high up, on a ridge. Prophet tells Aegis that once there was a great holy city by the Dead Sea, and many holy people lived there. 3000 years ago the age of ice came, and the entire world was covered with snow and glaciers. The holy city along with the rest of the world was buried under snow for all that time. Now an entire era lies buried beneath the snow, billions of people frozen still, for 3000 years.
-Aegis asks what the people of the previous era did to deserve being entirely wiped out? Prophet says he does not know what they did, but it must have been a terrible thing. (Basically, our society just EXISTED. Prostitution, crime, murder, greed and so on. Ice age=God's wrath, cleansing of the human race and Earth=FLOOD. Mammon=The Ark, sort of.)
-Aegis asks then why did the people of Mammon escape, how did they rise above the clouds to survive, and who allowed them to do it?
-The Prophet sighs, and says that when the age of ice came, at first no one could stop it, or protect one another. But, then a man was born, and he possessed incredible strength even from the time of his birth. When he was a young man his incredible mental powers were exposed, and he helped the people. (The young man was Herod, but the Prophet does not want to tell Aegis this, doesn't want Aegis to know HE failed.)
-He taught the people that energy could not be created or destroyed, but could be transferred and converted. He showed them that the energy of their minds could be used to manipulate the things of the real world, when properly executed. He began to teach them to use this converted mental power, which he called magic, and used his own immense power to rip a great piece of earth out of the ground and made it float.
-As the legend goes, the man died for unknown reasons long before he could teach everyone to use their power, and only the people who were already powerful in the ways of magic could be saved, or so they say. (Not DEAD, locked in stasis in his "Tomb" for reason of extracting his powers while Queen takes control.)
-Aegis is disgusted. "So!" he says, "We were simply left to die, because we were not as learned as the rest of them? Who is responsible for this!? WHO!? Who left my people to live such pitiful and miserable lives? I'll kill them myself! But then, I suppose that they are long dead, as that was 3000 years ago? I suppose the power monger that did this to my people is now resting in his grave?" he asks.
- "No," says the Prophet, "Believe me, you'll have your chance to avenge your people, and your own life as well."
-They eventually arrive at the Terra trestle, and find it guarded only by two Mammonian guards, since the Queen was sure that her team from before would have killed Aegis and Prophet. This is an excellent opportunity for Aegis to test his abilities. He uses his magic to move like a shadow and slit the throats of the guards.
-Aegis explains that he gets some sort of strange pleasure out of using his abilities to their utmost, using magic, and killing, much like he did when he was a child and killed his friends. Prophet tells him it is the satisfaction of using his powers to their utmost, and for what they and he were destined to do. Killing runs in his veins.
-They enter the Terra trestle building. Building is a sort of low dome with a hole in the roof for the beam that transports them to Mammon. It is golden amid the white and grey of the Terran world. The beam that transports them is purple.
- "You first," says the Prophet. Aegis enters the beam, and feels like he is being ripped apart, and then everything goes black. Aegis almost faints, but manages to pull himself together because of his training. He can hear the Prophet telling him to get his act together. "Where are you?" he says. "Don't worry, I am near now." says the Prophet.
-Aegis recovers, and feels an incredible surge of power in this place. His senses are astute and attuned to his surroundings, as if he can sense even the slightest movement, hear the slightest sound and so on. This is actually all the dream power being drawn out of the people and flowing around him. Being so mentally powerful, he is also naturally a receiver for this power which he so often and so powerfully discharges.
-Aegis hears the Prophet speaking to him in his head, and the Prophet says that he's in the city of Kajar, where magic and technology are developed and experimented with. The Prophet says he has a surprise for Aegis, and guides him to a room.
-Here Aegis finds nothing at first, but then Belthasar appears behind him, and explains to Aegis that he is Belthasar, leader of Kajar. Aegis draws his blades to kill him, but he uses magic that paralyses him, and stops him. He explains that he won't hurt Aegis, or turn him in, and that he's going to help him, and he knows why he's here.
-He hands Aegis some Mammonian clothing to put on over his dark assassin clothing, so he'll blend in in Mammon.
-Then Aegis speaks with Belthasar more about how Mammon is up there. Belthasar is vague saying that the power of the people keeps it there, and he seems uneasy about the topic. Aegis says ok, if you're going to help me, tell me this. Aegis asks him where he can find a young boy of twelve named Janus. Belthasar says he "knows the one you speak of. Janus." He says you can find him in the city of Enhasa, the city of dreams, which is West of Kajar, across the bridge. Aegis thanks him and leaves, saying that he won't forget Belthasar's help.
-Belthasar looks up at the sky and says "I hope I have done your bidding as you desired. Please...forgive me, father." he says. He is talking to Herod, because Belthasar is the one who built the machine that drains Herod of his powers, as well as the Psi-Evoker. The reason he did it was because the Queen sort of deceived him, although he too is to blame. She told him Herod's power was failing and that they would all die when he was rather young, so Belthasar did as she said. "Not yet" says the voice of Herod, "you will soon have freed me, but first you must free the people whom you have used as slaves." Belthasar agrees to do this, by destroying the Psi-Evoker. (Psi-Evoker draws power of citizens in their dreams, like Herod's Tomb, but normal citizens aren't nearly as powerful, so they all share one large machine.)
-Story flashes to Queen's palace. Queen can sense Aegis in Mammon. He is an extremely powerful psychic force. "He would make a great addition to the power source" she says. "He could even replace HIM, in time." meaning Herod, who's mental power is obviously failing at the age of 3000!
-Gaspar suddenly burst into the room, exclaiming: "My Queen, I have some very disturbing news. I have just watched a video recording from Kajar. Mother, it has happened just as I told you it would. Belthasar has betrayed you. He intends to destroy the Psi-Evoker, and free HIM! What shall I do?" he asks worriedly.
- "As always, your prophecies have come true, Gaspar. How disturbing that my own son, whom I have given power and immortality has betrayed me. Have him 'punished'," she says coldly.
- "How can we kill him?" asks Gaspar. "He is immortal, like you or I," he continues.
- "Yes, he is immortal. But there is a fate worse than death... Lock him in the nightmare Gaol along with the others who oppose my might!" she yells.
-Gaspar says, "Yes, my Queen," and walks away to capture Belthasar.
-Aegis is on his way to Enhasa, leaving Kajar. On his way out he asks a man if he could show him how to get to Enhasa, and the man says that he is going there too, so they can go together. This man turns out to be Melchior, but Aegis does not know who that is yet. The man tells Aegis that his name is Melchior. Of course this means nothing to Aegis yet.
-They speak a lot on the way, (it is about 5 hours' walk away) and Melchior explains much. Aegis asks why there isn't a faster way to get there, why they have to walk. Melchior says "Why not walk, when the Kingdom is so beautiful!?" Aegis agrees the Kingdom of Mammon is beautiful. Have a large description of the Kingdom here, and Melchior will point out the continent of Herod's Tomb, and how only the Queen and a few others are permitted to teleport there.
-Have a descriptive passage as they travel across the bridge from the Kajarian continent to the main continent, breathtaking view and so on. (50 000 feet up, above clouds and snow, self-contained continent with outlying floating islands and moderate "perfect" climate, Melchior explains to Aegis.)
-Aegis asks what there is in Enhasa. "It is the city of dreams," says Melchior, "It is where people go for weeks, sometimes months at a time to simply sleep and dream."
-Have another descriptive passage as Melchior and Aegis cross the two bridges over the lakes on the main Mammonian continent, and the waterfalls that tumble over the edges. Aegis remembers seeing them falling into Al-Bahr Mayyit when he was on the ground travelling to Mammon with the Prophet.
-Aegis asks why people would want to dream so much. Melchior explains that all the dreams in Enhasa are "lucid" so that you have some control over the dreams, which means that everyone wants to, if they're not working at Kajar or Nazareth on the Royal Palace. "Never assume what you see and feel is real in this place" he says. "Mammon has many mysteries."
-Aegis and Melchior arrive at Enhasa, and in the distance Aegis sees the western continent and the tubes leading from it to Enhasa. He asks what that place is, but Melchior says it's better not to speak of it.
-Aegis persists in asking, so Melchior explains that it is a large city called Avarice, that is some sort of a prison, and that's where the Queen puts everyone that opposes her, no matter who it is. Unfortunately, he does not know what happens to people who are put there, no one does except the Queen and her Knights Manáen and Gaspar.
-Aegis enters Enhasa with Melchior, and Melchior asks if Aegis would like to stay with him, and Aegis agrees. Melchior's house is a huge mansion, and Aegis realises that he is someone very important. Aegis asks about it, and Melchior explains that he is in charge of this town, and that he is the son of the Queen. Aegis is upset, because he knows he has to kill Melchior's mother, that is his destiny.
-They enter Melchior's house, and Melchior's wife Mary rushes up and tells him that Gaspar has had Belthasar arrested and sent to Avarice. Aegis seems to recognise her as well. Then Janus runs in and asks if Uncle Belthasar is really going to Avarice??
-Then it occurs to Aegis that this is the man who was in his dream 12 years ago. "You are the father of the One!" he yells. "I know who you are, as well," says Melchior. "You are the one sent to save my son Janus from my mother, the Queen."
-Aegis asks how he knew about him, and Melchior explains that the Prophet came to him as well and told him of Aegis the day that his son Janus was born. Aegis asks if Melchior knows who the Prophet is. Melchior says he does not, but "surely he is a Mammonian who wants change in this place."
-Aegis asks who Gaspar is, and Melchior explains that he, Belthasar, and Gaspar are all brothers, the three sons of the Queen. Melchior remarks that it is horrible that after all these countless years Gaspar would lock his own brother in the Nightmare Gaol.
-Aegis notices the subtle remark, and asks what he means by "all these years." Melchior eventually gives in and explains that the Queen's power has kept herself and her three sons alive for thousands of years, since the dawn of Mammon.
-Aegis asks how she acquired all that magical power to sustain the lives of four people ceaselessly for so long? Melchior says he does not know, but the power has kept all four of them alive for about 3000 years, but he lost count many years ago.
-Melchior asks Aegis if he wants to try the lucid "dream machine" , that makes everyone slaves to the Queen. He says Aegis will have trouble controlling it at first, since this is his first time, but all the same it should be wonderful.
-Aegis has a very disturbing and horrible dream. An angel (Herod) saving the people, and then an evil demon (the Queen) who strikes him down, and then a Shadow (Aegis) who comes and kills the Queen, and a Light (Janus) that comes and leads the people to Zion. (Of course at this point Aegis does not know what this means, it's up to the reader to figure it out.)
-Aegis tells Melchior about the horrible dream, and tells him that it was not lucid, and that it was not at all happy, but horrifying. Melchior says this is impossible, the machine was designed by Belthasar himself to manifest only the happy and content and good dreams of the person's inner soul.
- "What if there is no good, no happiness, in one's spirit, or one's soul?" Aegis asks. "Then what would be the outcome? What would one dream?"
-Melchior is very disturbed by this comment. "Well, of course everyone has some good in them, and that is what the machine finds." Aegis is unconvinced, but doesn't argue.
-Well, Aegis decides that they have no choice but to save Belthasar, and challenge the Queen, and maybe Gaspar if needed. He asks if there is any way to get to Avarice. Melchior says no, except by teleportation, unless you ran across the tubes, which is nearly impossible, because of the extremely high winds at this height of 50 000 feet, and the lack of oxygen.
-Aegis says he'll have to do it anyway, it is the only way to save Belthasar.
-Just then the Queen comes into the room saying "I don't think so." She is accompanied by Gaspar and Manáen. "So, you are the Queen" says Aegis. "And you are the one sent to kill me, are you?" she asks. "Yes," says Aegis, and he jumps at her trying to kill her. But a ball of blue energy comes out of her hand and knocks him to the floor. (Stupid mistake; vengeful, rash, idiotic.)
- "Traitor!" Melchior yells at Gaspar. "It is you who is the traitor!" yells Gaspar. "You would go against the orders of your Queen, your own mother!" he barks. "You are a disgrace to our family, and you deserve to be locked up with Belthasar!"
-Aegis sees everything going dark as he passes out, but then regains consciousness for one last attempt at the Queen's life, but as he lunges she again hits him with a powerful ball of blue light, and he passes out. (Again a stupid mistake.)
DREAM WORLD:
-Make a symbolic nightmare here that has something to do with Zion. (Someone care to help me here?) "Go ahead!" says a voice. "Embrace the pain! Embrace the torture! Become one with your misery!" it says. "If you do this, then you have already failed, when truly you have not, yet.
-Aegis wakes up, thinking that he is in the real world now. He is in a dark, dank prison cell. He is visited by the Queen and Gaspar, who mock him and tell him that all his friends are dead. This is actually the nightmare world in the Nightmare Gaol that is forcing him to experience perpetual nightmares. But his spirit is more evil than the Nightmare Gaol can handle, it cannot design things as terrible and evil as the evil that lurks in his soul. He overloads it, and gets out, destroying the whole Nightmare Gaol system. Belthasar is there with him as he gets out.
-Belthasar explains that the only way that could actually happen was if the evil and hate in the person's soul was greater than any evil force imaginable. He says that the Queen will no doubt try to harness this power and use it to her advantage, now that she has seen what it is capable of (destroying the Nightmare Gaol system)
-All the rebels who opposed the Queen, mostly former Council members, who were in it emerge, but they are all retarded and lifeless, their bodies intact but their minds destroyed by years of nightmares. Nightmare Gaol works opposite of lucid dream machines, seeking only hate and fear in a person's soul, and making it real to the person. Belthasar explains to Aegis that they were being used by the Queen and this machine that he created which sucks out dream and soul energy so that the Queen and he and his brothers could be immortal. He says that he is sorry, and that now it will all end, and he begs Aegis to forgive him.
-Belthasar also explains about the tubes that lead to Enhasa, and how he invented it with Melchior, and they drain the dream energy of the people to live forever, and that they are all slaves even in their happiness. These tubes take the energy to Enhasa, and then the Royal Palace.
-Story flashes to the Queen's Palace-The Queen and Gaspar watch on video cameras of a sort the rebellion and destruction of the Nightmare Gaol in Avarice. "His mental power is almost as great as Herod's was," she says. "His power is so great that the Gaol could not even handle all the energy! He has destroyed it with one surge of his power! He'll need a separate Psi-Evoker as large as Herod's to sustain his energy!" She thinks of this, and decides that she must lure him to Herod's tomb and lock him in there. The Queen decides that she must have the upper hand, as always. She points out to Gaspar that Aegis being the all-powerful evil, combined with Janus who appears to be the all-powerful good, combined together, would form an unstoppable power that she could absorb, and finally become a God. Herod would no longer even be needed. She would have all the power in the world!!!!! She cackles at the thought!
-The Queen decides that she must have an advantage over Aegis that he would be willing to die for, or yield to her for, and so she sends a huge mass of soldiers to Melatiah via the Terra trestle. She plans to have the entire population massacred unless Aegis is willing to be her slave. She sends her troops out immediately.
-They decide to go to Nazareth immediately, and Aegis discovers the teleporter that only the Queen is supposed to be able to use. Somehow it transports him to the Queen's Palace above Nazareth, along with Belthasar, and they find that Melchior and Gaspar are already there.
-Aegis says that he'll kill the Queen now, no matter what. She tells Aegis that her troops are near Melatiah, awaiting her order, and with it they will kill everyone there, unless Aegis agrees to become her psi-slave for eternity. Melchior and Belthasar protest, but Melchior dares not do anything, because Gaspar is there and he has Melchior's wife Mary and Janus hostage, and Janus especially is too much to risk.
-Aegis decides that no matter what, even if it means the death of all his people, he must kill the Queen, for the sake of everyone.
-Belthasar tells him to just fight, that he will take care of everything, and that Melchior will take Janus to safety. Belthasar and Melchior and Mary and Janus run off and Aegis begins to battle the Queen, as Belthasar kicks Gaspar and runs away.
-Belthasar teleports himself to his lab in Kajar, and brings into operation the mechanical soldiers that he created that look really cool. He made them so that the Queen would not need people as police, but she was afraid of them because she could not control their minds, so she ordered Belthasar to destroy them, but he saved about 15 that go to battle the soldiers who are going to attack and destroy Melatiah.
-Meanwhile Aegis attacks the Queen but she easily deflects his attacks and knocks him down. Then she says that it's time for him to fight what he most fears--himself. The a wave of her hand, the Queen is gone, and the Golem begins to flicker and materialise out of thin air. It is a towering glowing beast that looks like electricity and is like 15 feet tall or something like that.
- "Destroy it!" the Queen says. "Destroy Melatiah! Kill them all! Let none escape!" she orders her troops, and they're off. They begin to tread through the snow towards Melatiah. The Queen tells them she'll be sending back up as well, anytime now.
-At the same time, Belthasar orders his mechanical troops down to the surface. The name of the commanding robot is Calamity. He is very obedient to his master, Belthasar. Calamity leads his robots down to the surface, and kills all the backup troops who were on the way to help the others destroy Melatiah. This is the first action sequence near the end.
-The Golem goes on a rampage trying to kill Aegis, and Aegis tries desperately to fight back. The Golem kicks the shit out of him, basically. The Prophet appears and speaks to Aegis, telling him that the Golem is the incarnation of Aegis' own hate and detrimental feelings of rejection, hate, and isolation. He has to let it all go, forgive, and his soul must be pure or the Golem will persist.
-Aegis tells the Prophet that he doesn't have time for all this crap right now, that he must fight back and focus his strength, but the Prophet tells him not to be a fool, think of Archelaus and what he would say. Aegis decides he has to trust him, so he tries to let it go, but he can't yet.
-Instead Aegis goes in search of the Queen to kill her off, and end this. He thinks that if he kills the Queen, then the Golem will die too. He is wrong, of course, since the Golem comes from his own soul, but he thinks he's doing the right thing.
-He finds the Queen eventually, the Golem in the background, destroying the capital. He is about to kill her, and it erupts into a battle, magic and Damascus blades versus the Queen's magic and a magical sword, too. But just as the Queen is about to destroy Aegis with a final powerful magical blow, her magic fizzles out into nothing.
-Aegis tells her that she is nothing without the dream power of the people, as the Nightmare Gaol is now destroyed. He is about to kill her, but then she asks him "Don't you want to know how? Don't you want to know why?" she says. She laughs as Aegis stops, and tells him to follow her to the tomb of the ancient King Herod. She explains everything about Herod's imprisonment and her greed in the past, and how she was using the people, and that she is sorry, and maybe it is time for a change. ALSO meanwhile Melchior, Mary, and Janus have convinced the people in Enhasa to stop using lucid dream machines.
-She is about to release Herod from his tomb, when she is shot and nearly killed. Gaspar is standing there with a gun in his hand. "Don't touch that!" he yells. "Didn't you hear what she just told you? It is Herod's power that keeps Mammon floating! If he were to be released, then Mammon would wall to the ground, and be destroyed. We're 50 000 feet up, you know? Nasty fall!" he snickers.
- "But why?" Aegis asks. "Why do this? We could be free! The power of the free people could keep Mammon floating!" he says. But Gaspar says that HE was the eldest son, and should have inherited the throne someday, and his empire is not going to be destroyed by some earth worm! OUCH!
-Aegis sees that now that the Queen's energy is leaving her. Gaspar comments on how he's not going to die, and that is why he has to kill Aegis, he's sorry and all, it's nothing personal of course.
-But Aegis uses his magic to quickly escape, since he knows that a gun can kill him quite easily. Instead, Aegis tries to master the power of his soul, the Golem to come and destroy Gaspar. He succeeds in controlling his hate, anger and so on, and focusing it to bend the Golem (his hate) to his will.
-Gaspar sees the Golem coming, and runs, calling on Manáen, the Queen's warrior, to fight it and destroy it. Gaspar runs off, and the battle between Manáen and Golem begins.
-The battle is very short. Manáen says something like "For the honour of our King Gaspar" and attacks, knowing that he will die. Aegis tells him not to do it, to side with him, and then Manáen says he cannot. The old Japanese proverb here: "Which more exemplifies the way of the warrior? He who is loyal to a fair and kind lord, or he who remains loyal to his wicked lord? The warrior who is loyal to his unprincipled master because he who remains faithful even in adversity has the greatest warrior spirit. Devotion to a master is paramount."
-Aegis says that the Queen was his master, and that she may still be alive even now, and that Gaspar is no lord, he is a tyrant. Manáen says that Gaspar is now his lord since the Queen is either dead or cannot rule, and that Aegis must understand that he will fight for his lord.
-Don't you want to see the Queen again?" asks Aegis. "Don't you want to live to see another day?" he asks. "What makes you so sure that I won't kill YOU!?" asks Manáen.
-Aegis, now in control of the Golem, sends it to wait behind him, saying that this will be an honourable battle, and fair.
-And then the battle between the two of them begins, where Aegis wins but is injured. The battle is very swift, they just run, and of course more amazing swordfighting scenes, but Aegis manages to run Manáen through. After seeing Manáen's loyalty, but then killing him, he decides to be a better soldier too, and let's all the hate and so on go, and the Golem disappears for good.
-Manáen, still alive a little, sees that Aegis is truly a great warrior, as his soul is now pure, all hate and sorrow cleansed. Aegis goes to see Manáen, telling him how sorry he is that things had to be this way, and that Manáen is truly the greatest man he has ever know.
-Manáen says not to be foolish. "Do you know how I began following the "warrior's code" as I do now?" he asks. Aegis says he does not, so please tell him. "When I was still a new recruit in the Queen's service, just another Mammonian soldier, we descended to the surface to eliminate the last force of potential resistance. It was in a far away land, one that I do not know the name of. It was on what used to be a chain of medium sized islands, but were then connected by a large bridge of ice. (This is Japan)
-The people there were very technologically advanced, and had managed to build domed cities that protected them from the snow and cold, but still they relied solely on technology and possessed no magic whatsoever. It seemed that the only area of the world that had developed magic was Mammon, thanks to Herod. The people of this area of the world also looked different, they all had dark hair and eyes, and eyes that were more slanted than their own. And their skin was of a yellow tint.
-So, they fought them ruthlessly, even though these people were simply trying to survive, but of course the Queen did not want anyone left who had the technological potential to oppose her. Later we pillaged their city, and many of the soldiers raped the exotic women. Meanwhile, Manéan searched the home of a warrior who had defended his family with his life. He found a book about "Bushido". It was in a language that he could not understand (Japanese) but he took it back to Mammon, and later used his friend's magic to read it.
-He discovered that "Bushido" was the way of the warrior. He read the book many times, and as he did he found that the teaching indeed made him a better and more worthy warrior. He rose quickly through the ranks of the Queen's soldiers, until she decided that he should be her personal bodyguard, as the Council was becoming more and more rebellious it seemed, and then she told him the awful secret of Mammon's power and made him immortal by it.
-Then Manáen begins to die off, so he reaches into a pocket and takes the book out, and gives it to Aegis. He tells him that by focusing his mental energy hard, the words will come to him and he will be able to understand it, if he has the WILL to understand it. Aegis swears on the book that he will avenge the death of Manáen on the one responsible......GASPAR!
-Gaspar is nowhere to be seen, so Aegis rushes right back to Herod's tomb, and finds the Queen dying, but first he attends to letting Herod out, since he has faith that Janus will save the people. He of course has no idea how to open the tomb. The Queen, still living, says it is bound by her power, and she releases it, and then light flashes and so on, and the King is released.
-Aegis bows down before him, and is about to explain what is happening, and Herod stops him, saying that he already knows everything, and that there isn't much time, he has little power left, it is all up to Janus now.
-He contacts Janus telepathically, and speaks to him, telling him that he is his grandfather and that Janus is the son of GOD and that he must WISH that Zion would appear, and HOPE that the people will live, and have FAITH. Janus says he understands, and Janus along with Melchior and his wife Mary all do this together, and Herod says that it is working, Zion draws near. The whole of Mammon is starting to shake and fall apart in little chunks, so Janus convinced the people that he will savea them, and Melchior being so reverred the people agreed. The people who have followed them from Nazareth and Enhasa pray too, as they march towards Kajar to save the rest of the people.
-Aegis asks what and where Zion is, how they will get there, and Herod says that Zion is where they least expected it to be, and that Janus will take care of everything.
-Then Herod explains that his power to hold Mammon up is fading and that he will soon die, as he is now thousands of years old, and does not have much time left, nor does he care. He only wants to rest now.
-As the King and Queen are dying, Mammon begins to shake, and fall apart, and the first thing to go is the continent at the West, with Avarice. It cracks in half, and plummets towards the Earth. Now anyone who hasn't already decided to follow Janus is convinced.
-Now the story flashes to Janus and his parents Melchior and Mary. Janus is wishing that "His Father" will deliver them from evil, and to please forgive them for their sins, especially his grandmother the Queen, and Manáen, and especially Gaspar, who has been influenced by the ways of evil. They (the whole group of Mammonians and Janus and Melchior, and Mary) are now almost at the West side of the lake of Mammon.
-Gaspar appears and tempts Janus at this point. He offers him second place rule over Mammon once he takes over, and explains that Avarice can be rebuilt with time, and that all this can be his! And if he is really the son of a God, then why not live like one? See Bible, Matthew chapter 4. Page 933. Temptations of Jesus.
-Then Janus says "Away with you, Son of Satan! You have strayed, but with time you may be forgiven by God."
-Then Gaspar laughs at him, and says "Don't you see you naive little boy? I AM God! I will judge the world! I WILL! And the first one I will judge is the filthy spiritless assassin! I'll be back for you!" he yells is rage.
-Then Gaspar disappears and goes to fight Aegis. Janus tells his parents and the people to just ignore his threats and temptations, and that soon they will be delivered, and not to worry. But he says that they must gather up all the people, and get them altogether if he is to save them. So he tells the people to continue with him so that they can save the people of Kajar as well.
-Melchior says that they must hurry, soon the rest of Mammon will fall just like Avarice.
-Then they are going to the bridges that lead across the lake to Kajar, and they can see a horde of people of the other side because Belthasar gathered them from Kajar awhile ago when he realised what was happening to Mammon, feeling all the shaking and so on.
-But, unfortunately the bridges over the water have collapsed, as Mammon is beginning to crumble away, and pieces are already falling. And then soldiers still loyal to Gaspar and the Queen they don't know is dying, come up behind the people who are waiting at the lake and water.
-Story flashes to Terra. Now, the battle on Terra takes place. Mammonian soldiers are killing Melatiahns like bugs, and they see figures approaching. They think it is their backup troops, but it is Calamity and the robots, and the robots massacre the soldiers badly. The robots already killed the backup troops on the way to Melatiah.
-So back in Mammon, then Janus uses his divine power, and pushes the water aside, and it rises high up in the air., and all the people run through quickly, and then in a moment, after the soldiers have recovered from their amazement, they go too, but Janus' people get to the other side first, and then the water collapses in again killing all the evil soldiers of Gaspar. (This is a lot like the story of Moses saving the people in Egypt, mixed with the story of Jesus's miracles.)
-These people meet up with the people of Kajar on the other side of the lake, as Belthasar prepared them and led them out to meet up with Janus. Then basically all the people are gathered in one place, convinced that Janus is saving them, and then he uses his power and they all disappear, to appear on the surface of Terra. They are all extremely pissed that it is all freezing cold and snowy. And they are about ready to lynch Janus about now.
-Meanwhile, Aegis watches the reunion of Herod and Rachael. Rachael asks if he can ever forgive her, and he says that he already has, and that it is not his place to judge. Then they both begin to die. (Rachael is the Queen of Mammon's real name.)
-Then Herod tells Aegis to come close, he needs to tell him something. Then Herod gives Aegis a big speech. "Aegis, I know that you feel you have been cheated out of your life, and that everyone you know has lied to you. You are correct, but it is not over. You can live again, you can have another lifeÉlive, Aegis. Live." Then the two of them say to leave them alone, they will be dying soon, and Mammon will fall, so they have to get out of there and get to Zion now.
-Then Aegis says "Wait, I can't, I'm sorry." Herod is amazed by this, and asks him why the HELL NOT!!?? Aegis says that his whole life he has been a tool, just a weapon against Mammon, and his whole life has prepared him for this one all-important mission. So, after he completes this mission, what will be left for him? He has nobody, no parents, so siblings, no friends, and now he even hates Archelaus!
-Then the Queen Rachael comes in, and tells Aegis something startling. "You know, Aegis, I know your thoughts. I feel them. They are so strong....so very, very strong, indeed. I know Archelaus told you that soldiers from Mammon, sent by me, killed your parents as they tried to defend Melatiah, did he not?"
-Aegis is amazed that she knows exactly what Archelaus told him when he was younger. "That's right," she said. "You have such a great mental energy that your thoughts are easily projected and read by anyone with even a small mental capacity. You are indeed destined for greatness, Aegis. Do not let it end here. You must survive the fall of Mammon. You must," she says.
-Then she explains that the whole story of his parents being killed was to cause him to not question his murder of Mammonian guards and his mission to kill the Queen and destroy all of Mammon.
-Aegis is pretty pissed that he was lied to even more than he thought he was. "So, do you mean to say that I have......a family?" he asked. "Yes," replies the Queen. "And a sister, as well. Don't you see? You DO have something to live for!" Then Gaspar teleports into the room. "Now fight! Fight for your right to live!" she says to Aegis.
-Then Herod tells Aegis to purify his sinful son, Gaspar. Aegis and Gaspar draw their swords, and are about to fight, when suddenly the whole damn place starts to shake like crazy, but they go at each other anyway, clanging and fighting for a while.
-This first scene is while Mammon is not yet falling, because Herod and Rachael are not dead yet. This is basically a fantastic sword fighting scene between Aegis with his two short Damascus blades, and Gaspar, with his long Katana. This involves some cool wall jumping scenes and so on, since they both also have VERY strong magical powers which they use to defy gravity a little and so on.
-THEN after there is sort of a stalemate, Herod gives in and dies with Rachael. Then the place starts to shake like mad again, and then Herod and Rachael create an extremely powerful explosion as their enormous amount of mental energy is released as they die, which propels the small outer continent where Herod's tomb is away from the rest and down at such a speed that Aegis and Gaspar stick to the ceiling.
-Here is the best action scene through the whole thing. Gaspar and Aegis take their swords at each other on the ceiling, fighting upside down to kill one another. Eventually Aegis wins by using all his strength to jump off of the ceiling for a moment and come down on top of Gaspar slicing his head open like a melon.
-At this point you are supposed to think that Aegis has no chance to survive, but really he locks himself in Herod's Tomb, a single Nightmare Gaol, because it is indestructible. He basically will endure years of nightmares in the hope that someone will free him someday and he'll have another chance at life, and to see his family that he has never known before.
IN GENERAL:
-Zion is actually just Terra, not another floating continent, as previously planned.
-Before this happens, when all the Mammonians are transported to the ground by Janus, and after Mammon falls into the Mediterranean Sea, the ground is still quite frozen and there is still a lot of snow that has yet to melt and ice and cold rain and winds and so on. The Mammonians are so outraged at Janus that they take him and crucify him. His parents Melchior and his wife protest, so they crucify them as well. Three days later, just like Jesus, he rises from his tomb that Belthasar made him, and he comes to the people, and they can't believe he is alive again, risen from the dead. Then he performed a great miracle, and all the snow and ice melts, and the oceans rise. And the people believe truly that he is the son of God.
-Then he ascends to the sky, and tells them that he will return. Of course everyone is very sorry about what they did. They thought that his previous miracles of parting the sea and transporting them all to the ground were the powers of Satan, tricking them into being damned. But now they see that it was truly the work of God.
-The epilogue at the end is told by Belthasar, not Janus. He invents the submarine based on the old people's inventions, and goes to try to save Aegis at the end in the Dead Sea.
-In the transition when Mammon is falling the people are zapped up by Janus' awesome power to materialise again on the ground afterwards, and they all see Mammon fall to the Mediterranean Sea slowly, like a slow meteor.
-A new city is built around ruins of Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) and Dead Sea.
-Mammon, into the sea, and Aegis after killing Gaspar in the fall, locks himself in Herod's tomb, his will to survive so strong that he would endure millennia of nightmares to live again, to have another chance at life, at being human. Also he is prophetised as the One who will father Janus in his second coming, so Belthasar knows he must have survived the fall of Mammon.
-Then at the VERY end, Belthasar finishes his sub, and uses it in the Dead Sea where Herod' Tomb is, and fins the "tomb" and inside he sees that Aegis has locked himself in it in stasis and nightmares, waiting for his next life... THE END!!!!!
