Full name: John Forrester

John Forrester at first had no interest in space exploration or Starfleet. His father was a Lieutenant commander on the Lexington, and was killed when he was 14 at Wolf 359. His mother died when he was a toddler from a freak transporter accident. Having to live with his grandparents, and enraged at his abandonment, Forrester applied to Starfleet academy upon graduation from school hoping that one day he could avenge his father's death by destroying the Borg. He was immediately accepted, and rose to the top of his class. His piloting skills were exceptional, second only to Commander William Riker. After graduation of the Academy, Forrester was accepted and enrolled in Starfleet Command School where again he was in the top of his class. This earned him a commission as Lieutenant and was posted on his first ship, the Beowulf. While on the Beowulf, he saved the ship from an attack by an unkown ship by piloting tight maneuvers at warp speed. (pulled a loop around the ship at warp 1, sneaking up behind the ship, out of main phaser fire).
Forrester is pretty much an even tempered person who takes his frustration out in a creative physical form, usually long bicycle rides on the holodeck during off hours on the Alpha Shift. No longer set out on avenging his father's death, he is still sensitive when it comes to the Borg, and feels that Captain Picard poses a threat to Starfleet and the Federation.
Forrester is very intelligent, and shows promise in the command field. He is able to improvise in tight situations, and seems to know what the order will be before it is given. He also shows promise in the Engineering field, as he knows much about warp physics, and how the warp engines operate. When not required on the bridge, he has on occasion helped in running diagnostics and other maintenance.
Forrester was enrolled on Challenger on stardate 51763.2 under Captain John Erickson
Special note: Because of Forrester's valuble skills as a pilot, Captain Erikson works well with him to perform and perfect many tactical manuvers that have proved invaluble in battle.
