[NI1612] Hi,

Just the right timing. I'll look back in a few days.

There are also a few more in New Zealand but not direct descendents of Robert
Southey (poet). I actually know very little and it is currently all on paper
- soon to go on computer. As my sisters get more organized, we should be able
to tie in to your work. As one put it:

Our family tree goes from Dad to Charles Carrington (Grandad -born
in 1889- he had a brother who didn't marry - dropped on his head as a baby
at the hospital or something). Our great grandfather was Herbert (I think,
there is a join in my photocopy which misses his name off), and our
great-great-grandfather was Charles Cuthbert (married three times and we are
from his second wife Henrietta). Robert Southey (poet) was our
great-great-great- grandfather and he died in 1843.

If you can not get it let me know as it is rather old (it may be Simmons
rather than Simmon's). There seems to be a few copies floating around second
hand book stores. Also, there has just been a new biography published by
Oxford Uni Press - but I forgot the author (dratts!).

Regards Bruce Southey
