April 29-30. This year's clinic, coordinated by the Bears Assistant
Director of Pro Personnel George Paton, will be held at the Sheraton North

by college and pro coaches. The clinic serves as a thank you from the
Bears' player personnel department and coaching staff to all the schools for
their help throughout the year.

* EUROPE LEAGUE UPDATE - Chicago Bears receiver Ahmad Merritt opened the
2001 NFL Europe season in spectacular fashion with a league-high 137
receiving yards last Saturday, April 21. The native Chicagoan averaged 22.8

among the team leaders for Franfurt with three catches for 25 yards with a
long play of 17 yards. Todd McMillon also garnered a starting assignment
and recorded four tackles, including three solos and a sack. Gerald
Williams made a positive showing for the Claymores by hauling in three
catches for 17 yards and a touchdown in reserve action. Bears center Brad
Williams was also in action and started at left guard for the Amsterdam

Marcus Robinson led to the 1998 NFL Europe championship.

* BEARS CARE GALA - The sixth annual Bears Care Gala fund-raiser will be
held Friday, May 11th at 7 pm at the Chicago Ritz-Carlton. Proceeds from
the event benefit breast and ovarian cancer research and treatment programs

* PHOTO-OP - Bears wide receivers Bobby Engram and Marcus Robinson will
participate in a photo shoot Friday after the 3:05 pm practice with children
