CAPTURING A CAJUN

After Santa Anna and his Mexican Army were victorious at the Alamo and reclaimed Texas, they decided to continue eastward and capture Louisiana. After crossing the border, a cajun was spotted, working in his field. "Capture him," the Mexican leader said."Take 10 men and don't let him escape!" As the group of soldiers approached, the Cajun ran into the bushes. The confident soldiers went in after him. Afrer several minutes of fierce fighting, screaming and hollering, things got quiet. But...no one emerged from the bushes. Santa Anna said, "Take 15 men and go into those bushes and bring that Cajun to me!" The second group of soldiers entered the bushes and the sounds of fierce fighting began again, then all became silent. No one returned. "Send in 15 more soldiers." yelled the leader. The same results! As the rest of the Army was commanded to rush in and capture the Cajun, one badly beaten soldier staggered out of the bushes and yelled,"Go Back!" Go Back!" "There are TWO of them!"
