Lincoln Fire
Company No. 1
Ephrata, Pennsylvania

Jacket Embroidery

I am a volunteer firefighter with Lincoln Fire Company of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, and have been a member since December 1998. On 2 June 2001 we were the host company for the 81st Annual Convention of the Lancaster County Fireman's Association. We also celebrated our 150th anniversary that year (1851-2001). Lincoln FC is located in the Western end of Ephrata. The Western end was originally known as the village of Lincoln, hence the fire company's name.

Below are some pictures of our current apparatus. If you notice on the Squrt on Engine 1-6-1, you will see written "Protector of the West Side", that's because we ARE the Protector of the West Side of Ephrata. Click on either a picture or its name to see a larger image. More photos of current and past apparatus can be viewed by clicking the button below.

Lincoln FC also has a Fire Police vehicle, Traffic 1-6, a converted 1989 Ford ambulance. The members of the Fire Police respond to all calls within the Lincoln Fire Company district. These members also assist with special events held in the Ephrata area when requested. On the scene the Fire Police assist with traffic and crowd control.

The 1921 Reo Speedwagon/Hale Pumper was purchased brand new and used by the Lincoln FC in the 1920's up through 1947. It was the first motorized piece in the fire company. The Reo was bought a second time by the Lincoln FC in 1989, and remains with the company to this day. The second purchase was made with the generous support of the community which we serve.

Now online is the Lincoln Fire Company's own website.
