I wrote this poem for my son and his bride on their wedding day.  My mother loved my daughter in law as much as I do.  She's a special girl and I knew how much she wished my mother could have been there to share the day so............I brought her there:

With a Heart of Love

There's someone here to share this day,
Someone you can't see.
That someone loved the both of you
And wanted the best for thee.

She surely blesses both of you 
With warmth and understanding.
love and joy and happiness, 
And wonder, never ending.

She walks beside you everyday,
Just as she does me,
And helps you when you need her,
Be the best that you can be.

I know she sits beside her man
And feels a wondrous pride,
For the man who is her grandson,
And her favorite who is the bride!

So throw a kiss to Grandma
And thank her for being here,
And always have the faith,
That she is ever near.

Go on and live a happy life,
And know within your hearts
That Gram was here to see you
Get a happy start!!
