CHICAGO -- A colorful picture of Chicago Bears Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton walking into the sunset is the winning entry in City Clerk James J. Laski's 2000-01 vehicle sticker contest.

Judith Espino, a junior at Lane Technical High School, designed the winning artwork for the contest, which had the theme: "Life Goes On, Be an Organ Donor." Espino will receive a $1,000 savings bond from Laski. In addition, Lane Technical High School will receive a $500 gift certificate for art supplies from Pearl Art and Craft Supply Inc., a sponsor of the contest.

Erin Tun, a junior at Resurrection High School, won second place and a $500 savings bond. Third place was awarded to Lakeysha Dunn, a sophomore at Lawrence Hall Youth Services School. She will receive a $250 savings bond.

More than 400 students from 35 high schools entered the contest. Judges from the arts, media and medical communities picked 10 finalists last week. More than 5,100 people voted Monday by phone or Internet to select the winner.
