ABOUT ME
What's up with the Eeyore connection? Glad you asked. I grew fond of the pessimist donkey long ago, and the bond comes from common world views. We both expect the worst from the world, yet get the best. Simple enough, or would you like a detailed psychological analysis?

A little introduction to the webmaster:

First name Jeffrey, middle name Wayne, I am 31 years old and live in Memphis, Tennessee, with my wife Valerie (Oct. 28, 2006). I am a Director for FOX13 News, beginning in March 07. Before that I was a Technical Director/Director for CNN Headline News and CNN in Atlanta, starting March 1998.

I spent my formative years in Memphis, Tenn., before attending and graduating from Union University in Jackson, Tenn.

After graduating in May '97, rather than attend graduate school at the U. of Alabama-Tuscaloosa where I was accepted, I decided to advance my career instead. Check out my resume to see where I worked before CNN. Here in Atlanta, I attend Johnson Ferry Baptist Church not far from my home in Cobb County.

I earned my dream job at the age of 22 here at CNN. Watching the Gulf War in '91 (10th grade) I decided I wanted to go into communications, and especially to work at CNN.

When I'm not working I love to travel and enjoy going to movies. I also study history, with a focus on military history.

When it comes to watching sports, I'm "that guy," head over heels for the Boston Red Sox, but at every chance I get I support my local teams, which is made easier by the fact that through CNN I get free tickets to Braves (MLB), Thrashers (NHL) and Hawks (NBA) games. I've played soccer and golf since I was six (baseball, too, but quit around middle school), and had a scholarship to play golf in college. Many weekends you'll find me avoiding real life on the golf course.
