Sunday was spent at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, an hour east of Orlando. The shuttle Endeavour flag was flying out front because of the ongoing mission at the Int'l Space Station. The shuttle landed the next day.
I've got tons of Space Camp jokes for this, but unfortunately I'm probably one of three people who's seen the campy 80s flick. For those who don't remember, Joaquin Phoenix stars as Max, not to mention the other castmembers: Kate Capshaw, Lea Thompson, Kelly Preston, Tate Donovan and Tom Skerritt.
Prepping me and Dad for our mission as experimental cargo in the shuttle bay (testing the theory of whether hard heads are so dense in space).
Part of the memorial to astronauts who died in our nation's pursuit of reaching the heavens.
