Aces of the Pacific War



Ace is a term that came out of World War 1, during the great air battles happened over France.It means a pilot that has shot down five or more aircraft during his carrer.In the United States, there were 1,214 fighter aces during World War 2-688 in the Army, 350 in the Navy, 123 in the Marines, 12 in the Royal Air Force, five flying with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and 24 flying with the American Volunteer Group (Flying Tigers) in China before the offical start for the war.Below is a list of all fighter aces in the Pacific:
