The British aircraft in the Pacific were totally outmatched.Even though the Spitfire thrashed the Zero in the Indian Ocean raids,over all,they were not suited to fight the lightly built,highly manouverable Japanese aircraft,until the Sea Fury came out,which appeared too late.But,all in all,the British did not have the resources to fight a two-front war like the U.S. did and had to concentrate their air power against Nazi Germany.
