Lance and his schoolmates honored the veterans as the procession of veterans
walked to the flagpole. New flags were dedicated to the veterans. Picture of
my Lance's grandfathers' "brick" in the Memorial Wall at his school. My dad
presented Lance with a hat from his Navy days. In addition to the flag
ceremony, the students honored the veterans with several patriotic songs along
with a short reading about the history of this solemn day followed by 2 minutes
of silence in honor of the veterans who were present and those who were not.
