This two part show involves a lot of very funny/comical scenes. Ellen is Paige's Matron of Honour and if she has her way, the marriage will take place. Unfortunately she walks in on something she didn't expect. Will Matt and Paige marry??????????????
When Ellen and Audrey throw Paige a hen's night, a psychic's predictions come true with very funny results. Reckon it's the beginning of the end for Paige's wedding.
Guest stars Kathy Najimy.
Janeane Garafalo guest starts as Chloe, a woman Ellen meets during a medical checkup...They get on really well and as Ellen feels really left out coz of Paige being too busy, she decides that Chloe will be her new girlfriend. Loved this episode...Janeane is great in this episode.
Ellen is shattered when her beloved Buy The Book is left off the list of LA's hippest hangouts. She dresses Audrey and Joe in only black..with Joe serving only latte latte's and is then ready to add the finishing touch.....Live Music. She chooses a rock band but at the eleventh hour...they cancel and she is forced to use her second choice...The Shapiros...
Quite a cute episode with lots of laughs...and ellen sings as well.
Ellen is upset coz the bookstore is having financial difficulties..and she has to lay off Audrey. Meanwhile
the bookstore, Ellen and the gang receive an invitation to Audrey's birthday party. Upon arriving they are shocked to find out her parents are very wealthy and live in a huge mansion. Ellen begins to have second thoughts about firing Audrey coz of the money she has, so she tries to tell her what she has in mind to do. Well it turns out that Audrey's parents Jack and Lily offer Ellen $100,000 to help out so that their daughter can keep her job? What follow next?....I'll let you watch to find out..
Guest stars...Carol Kayne, Barry Corbin and Lawrence Hilton Jacobs.
At the bookstore, Paige's boyfriend Matt tells Ellen how much he is in love with Paige and that he is going to ask her to marry him. At the jewellers - Matt tells Ellen and Peter that he is going to propose to Paige at a hockey game and ends up buying a very small diamond engagement ring because he thinks Paige likes simple demure things.
On the weekend while they are at the hockey game, Paige goes to the toilet and when Matt arrives he is hit in the head with the puck. Paige returns to find Matt out cold, but Ellen helps by showing the scoreboard to her. It reads "Will you marry me?" Paige is over the moon.....except for the size of the diamond!!!! Quite a funny episode.
Ellen and all her buddies are enjoying a dinner at a seafood restaurant when Ellen is horrified to find out that the 65yr. old lobster is to be raffled off. Still bothered the next day, Ellen decides to rescue it..and uses Spence to sidetrack the waitress while she does it. What follows is a hysterically funny scene where the lobster attacks Ellen while she tries to put it in the cooler full of water. They then spend the whole night trying to set it free, but it keeps on returning to them.
Quite a good show, with Mary Tyler Moore guest starring as herself and Joely's sister Tricia stars as Joanie the waitress.
Paige needs to spend more time with Matt....but his daughter Mia is kinda in the way. So Ellen offers to look after her while Paige and Matt go camping. All starts off well with Ellen and Mia having a great time..until she tells ellen that her school project has to be in by morning and she hasn't even started on it. So Ellen gets Joe, Audrey and Spence to help while Mia sleeps. Ellen drops some line about Paige and Matt....and next day is called to Mia's school coz of what she said to one of the boys. The same thing that Ellen had said the night before.....quite a good episode.
This was a great episode.......Audrey has to pull out of being a witness in a mock trial for Spence...so who gets the job? Why Ellen of course. And what is her name? Lola Bigcups.....classic!
The whole courtroom scene has Ellen at her comedic best....her facial expressions are top stuff! And the dialogue is first class as well. One of the better shows of series 3 so far.....I loved it!
Annoying Audrey is at her very best in this show when her car bites the dust. After Ellen has to put up
with driving her to work for a whole week, she is at her wits end after listening to Audrey
sing and tell her all about her childhood. So she tries to talk her into
buying a new car. At first Audrey is reluctant...but after seeing the Rapture she falls in love with it
,buys it and then spends every second with her new Rapture owner buddies. Silly show this one..but
has a few laughs.
Get ready for a classic show in this one. While Ellen helps the police catch the thief who robbed her store, Paige hopes to catch one of the good-looking detectives.
This show has everything and the scene where Ellen is wired to help trap the thief is a one off. Lots of great lines and sight gags. A must watch for any Ellen fan.
Ellen and her mates are ready for some Saturday Night Fever fun when they are invited to a birthday party for John Travolta. Whilst in the limo, playing around with all the gadgets, Paige reveals that she is waiting for a phone call so that she can get the address. Then the silliness breaks out again Audrey accidentally spills perfume and vodka on Spence's pants. In an attempt to dry them....Ellen stands up through the sunroof and holds them up but of course, accidentally lets go....
After a series of crazy antics and situations....they end up at the place where the party is supposed to be but it seems deserted.
They think they have missed the party and go on to have breakfast at a local diner....and guess who was there..a gentleman, who had just come from Travolta's party!
[Guest star- Ron Palillo as himself]
Well, well, well, only the Morgan family could think of this for a Christmas present. Ellen's mum and dad decide to go to Florida for Christmas so they have to celebrate a day earlier. On the way to drop them off at the airport...Ellen receives her Xmas gift.....A BURIAL PLOT.....which of course gets her to contemplate the value of her life.
Ellen's book club returns to this episode and causes confusion when she has to pick only a few of them to appear on a bookclub Chat Show she is scheduled to appear on. The host is played by non other than her real life brother Vance.
Ellen and Spence return to her appartment in time to hear Spence's father (Burt) leaving a message. Spence refuses to talk to him because he still hasn't told him he was kicked out of the medical recidency. Ellen decides to pic up the phone and tell him - but panics -Spence grabs the phone off her, tells him the truth then hangs up.
What follows after Burt arrives at Ellen's bookstore is a series of comical errors. Good show to watch.
Ellen feels really rejected when, upon visiting Paige at work, she is treated more like a stranger than her best friend. Paige discovers that the studio has agreed to make the movie she pitched and excitedly begins to make plans. Feeling ignored, Ellen leaves.
A few days later Paige tells Ellen that the company has chosed her bookstore to shoot a scene starring Meg Ryan....a favorite of hers...so she agrees to let them use her store. On the day of the shoot, Ellen learns that Meg won't be turning up and the only famous person there will be Carrie Fisher. Although bitterly disappointed, Ellen acts like a starstruck fan when she finally meets her. Lots of funny scenes in this episode with Ellen's site gags great yet again.
Guest Star - Carrie Fisher & Michael Des Barres.
Upon arriving home after a day at the bookstore with the queen of entertaining - Martha Stewart signing her cookbooks , Ellen is disgusted when she realises that her friends and herself are a bunch of slobs. She organizes a proper dinner party to which everyone is invited to except for Audrey - who has to work late at the bookstore. Confident she can do this dinner party by herself - Ellen follows the outline in Martha's cookbook for an Autumn Feast. Saturday night comes and whamo, everything starts to go wrong. Ellen's stove doesn't work and when Joe arrives she is appalled he has brought Martha with him. Good show with some laughs.
It's kinda misplaced love when Lois, Ellen's mum wants to try out some psychotherapy with her daughter. She now wants to be just a mate with Ellen and this leads to utter confusion. While they are playing pool, Ellen mistakenly thinks her mum is trying to set her up with a man and to teach her a lesson, begins to seduce him on the pool table. Much to her horror, his fiancee walks up and Ellen is extremely embarassed.
Well, you Audrey fans are in for a treat this week when the forever annoying friend of Ellen overhears her offering a job to Spence. She manipulates her way into working at the bookstore but when her over perky annoying attitude and exasperating habits become too much for Ellen, she decides she will sack her. She goes to Spence for some cousinly advice but ends up giving him some unwelcome suggestions about his life instead. Ready to take her anger out on Audrey, Ellen has to re-evaluate everything when it turns out that she is actually quite good for business.
Well, if you're an Adam fan - this is a sad episode because we bid him farewell. But to Ellen, it's a farewell with a difference when he tells her he is going to live in London & work as a photographer for a magazine. She is shocked but becomes really upset when Adam seems to be avoiding her. When he is just about to leave for the airport Adam tells her what he has wanted to say for a long time....that he secretly loves her. However, his grand farewell is ruined when he is delayed for a week which, of course, is just enough time for Ellen to get into hot water when she lies to him so not to hurt his feelings by saying she loves him as well.
Ellen officiates at the grand re-opening of her bookstore. That evening Ellen asks Spence to join her book group for their discussion about Oliver Twist. An attractive woman named Karen sparks Spence's interest, but her constant misinterpretation of the Classic infuriates him and he rudely corrects her. The next morning Ellen is horrified when she finds out Spence slept with Karen but doesn't intend to call her again. In her usual way, Ellen can't help but interfere and in her efforts to protect her bookclub pal , she makes the situation even more explosive. This is a fantastic episode..don't miss it.
This show opens with Ellen, Audrey and Paige shopping for a present for Paige's sister Heather, who has just had twins...Malibu and Melrose...Miami and Clam
Chowder..or whatever their names are. Great opening scene. After watching the birth on video, Ellen is left with the tape but accidentally tapes over the epic event with an episode of her favorite show "Thirtysomething".
In a desperate attempt to cover up her mistake, Ellen drags Spence to a hospital with a plan to tape another woman giving birth and pass it off as Heather's tape. Of course, in true Ellen wackiness, all hell breaks loose.
Do they get a woman to agree? Find out on Thursday.

As Paige becomes too busy to spend time with Ellen anymore, and she feels more and more left out, she decides to cash in her insurance money and travel the country by bus to find her dream. It's no ordinary bus trip and Ellen eventually gets kicked off in a remote town.
Ellen stops at the only building - a museum of odd things and during her tour seeks advice from a magic ball. But when it advises her to give up the bookstore Ellen realises that rebuilding her business is her dream and decides to go home.
Your bed is rocking - but you are alone! It's what everybody dreads - an earthquake.
Lights go out, you start groping around the hallway - where's Adam and Audrey?
To add to all the confusion is Paige who wants a loan of Ellen's
briefcase for an interview that morning. A familiar voice pierces the darkness. It's the
voice of her cousin Spence who has been kicked out of his medical practice for punching a patient
and has chosen this inopportune of moments to visit her from New York.
Meanwhile Ellen and her mates go to the
bookstore to check out the damage. It's pretty bad but by the time they have finished with it - the place is a certified disaster area.
Well, well, well, what's happening here? Is Ellen going to make her mum and dad the happiest parents in the world? Is it love?
While Ellen and Dan spend the whole weekend in bed,
Paige drops by to let her know she is far from impressed. Ellen agrees to dinner with Paige but Dan has other ideas and invites Audrey and Adam as well. At the restaurant Audrey and Adam decide privacy is the go for the two of them, so they depart, leaving poor Paige with love-struck Ellen and Dan.
With love getting in the way of all their friendships, will Ellen and her pals ever get back to the way they were - or are they......gulp........maturing???
Guest Star - William Ragsdale (Hermans Head)
Ellen paranoid? What - of course not!!....not our Ellen...well maybe just a little bit. Actually her paranoia reaches an all-time high when she fears her ex-boyfriend Dan (William Ragsdale from 'Herman's Head') has graduated from pizza deliveries to
drug smuggling.
Ellen is quietly surprised when she runs into Dan, an old boyfriend who has just returned from a 6 month stay in Italy. You may remember an earlier episode where Ellen broke up with Dan because he was a pizza delivery guy and had no other ambitions in life. She is rapt when he tells her that he is in the import/export
business now and decides to rekindle the relationship again.
Now you didn't expect everything to run smoothly for Ellen did you? Of course not! Things start to become very suspicious when 2 guys deliver a large packet of white powder to
Ellen's appartment. It is for Dan who is in Miami sorting out some customs problem.
And when the police arrive on her doorstep it is panic stations for Miss Paranoia.
Guest Star - William Ragsdale from Herman's Head.
Ellen discovers an exception to the old rule about honesty being the best policy when she lies to her
mother, cancelling their lunch date so she can go skiing with Paige.
As we come to expect from Ellen-things never go smoothly for her. A near death experience on the ski slopes
leaves Ellen guilt ridden about the lie so she visits a therapist who tells her to come clean with not only the ski trip lie
but all others between her and her mother.
It all gets out of hand of course, and Ellen decides that sometimes a few white lies may be her best policy when it comes to her parents.
When Ellen is arrested and put in jail for disturbing the peace during a protest about the killing of animals, her worst punishment is having to stay in the custody of her parents.
Watch for the scene at the end where she's in the car with mum and dad singing "Born to be Wild". It's a scream!.
Guest star - Christine Elise (Beverly Hills & ER)
