A Newsie's Tale


A long time ago, some people on the Newsies Fan Club decided to have a "Create-a-Newsie" contest. I made up my character, Squeaker, and entered him in. I don't know what ever happened with the contest, but the more I made up about Squeaker, the more I wanted to write it down, hence, my little story here.
As you can see, parts One and Two are up. Some of you may have already read part One before (It's on Button's page), but part Two was just finished a while ago. There's one more section on the way, but I have no idea how long it will take me to write it.

      Part One
        This takes place one year before the strike and describes how Squeaker ran away and joined the Newsies.

      Part Two

        This part takes place during the strike and overall is the story we all know and love told from his perspective.

      Beware of the Dog
        I started wondering how Spot came by his nickname, and this is the result. It's never been my favorite story, although Spot/Gabe fans seem to enjoy it.

        I'm attempting to make people think with this one. Did I succeed?
