For Daddy

Never to leave me you promised
Though our Lord held a special plan
These days I must continue my life without you
Awaiting the glorious day
When I too shall enter those golden gates
So until then I shall trust our Lord
As I desperately cling to fond memories of you
And thank Him for the precious time He allowed us to share
While my love for you shall remain forever
I realize I need to live my life for Him as did you.
