Giants In The Land

The spies returned from their search of the land
They were amazed at the riches of the Canaanite band
The people were shown the fruits
They couldn’t believe what the land could produce
The spies reported giants big and tall
If they tried to fight Israel would surely fall
They said:

There’s giant in the land
There’s no way that we can stand
They’ll pluck us from God’s hand
Oh, there’s giants in the land

Now Joshua and Caleb tore their clothes
They couldn’t believe what was said about their foes
They said the land is rich beyond compare
And God is on our side and we don’t need to care

If there’s giant in the land
There’s no way that they can stand
They can’t pluck us from God’s hand
Let’s drive the giants from our land

Now this is much the way it is with you and me today
There’s giants in the land who’d love to have their way
We’ve got a choice to make about our battle plan
Do we run and hide just like the spies or like Joshua take a stand.

Will you say:
There’s giants in the land
There’s no way that we can stand
They’ll pluck us from God’s hand
Oh, there’s giants in the land

Or will you live for God and take a stand
And drive the giants from our land

‘Cause if there’s giants in the land
There’s no way that they can stand
They’ll never pluck us from God’s hand
Let’s drive the giants from our land.
