He'd Rather Have Me

He paid the price
He left the throne
He took the cross
And now I know:

He'd rather have me than all the gold
He'd rather have me than riches untold
He'd rather have me than houses or land
He'd rather be pierced in his sinless hands.

He'd rather be borned in a manger than a palace
To fulfil the plan saving me from the curse
He'd rather be a pauper than be a prince
Cos deep inside He knows 
I can't pay for my sins.

No power can hold Him on the cross,
No sin has put Him there;
Not by force and not by might but a choice He gladly made
He'd rather bring me out of sin's dread swear.
